The Territorial College of Architects of Alicante invites you next Wednesday, April 26 at 19h at the Centro Cultural Las Clarisas de Elche (C / Capità Lagier, 1) to know the most excellent architectural pieces of the province built between 2020 and 2021.

Many of these pieces are in Elche. The event will also feature a presentation of the works by their authors.

The presentation will be in Pecha Kucha format: a presentation format in which a presentation is presented in a simple and informal way by means of 20 slides shown for 20 seconds each.

At the end of the event, attendees will be invited to a cocktail party, where they will be able to talk with the architects.

The house is proposed from an old faeneta – this is the name given to the typical houses of Camp d’Elx.

A “change of roof” project, the recovery of the original built-up area of the house, including annexes such as henhouses, ovens, courtyard, corrals, etc., with the intention of converting it into a permanent dwelling.

The result is this house that you can see in the photo.

Veracruz’s new offices are located in a pre-existing building in the Elche Business Park.

Faced with a rudimentary curtain wall system with terrible pathology problems, it had a very hot south-west orientation.

Therefore, the proposal is this kind of greenhouse that functions as an air chamber in the form of a garden of natural vegetation as a vertebral resource, thus avoiding touching the large amount of existing facade, beyond a minimum mandatory maintenance.

The proposal of the architect Ángel Rocamora for these offices consisted of a geometrization of the space with a double false perspective, both in plan and in section, to emphasize the focus and vision towards the courtyard to produce an effect of greater length of view towards it, which now became a garden with the application of changing lights, as an attractor focus.
