The Romanization of Mula, Museum of the City of Mula.
In July 2021, during excavations at the Roman villa of Los Villaricos, and in an area that was reused as a necropolis in the late Roman period, this magnificent Visigothic sarcophagus with Paleo-Christian iconography appeared, which is the absolute protagonist of one of the areas of the new room dedicated to the Romanization of Mula.
We are talking about a new museum space, where the exceptional Visigothic sarcophagus of Villaricos occupies a central place in the exhibition design. The museography leads us to the Roman and Late Antique world, to productive spaces, life and death, through the archaeological remains of Mula.
