The exhibition Guardians of stone. The castles of Alicante <\/em>with museography designed by Rocamora Dise\u00f1o y Arquitectura<\/strong>, has closed its doors at the Castillo de Santa B\u00e1rbara after being visited by 107,200 people<\/strong> since its inauguration in March. Organized by the MARQ, this exhibition marked an important milestone by opening the collaboration between the Alicante City&Beach Tourist Board and the MARQ CV Foundation, and has paid tribute to the rich heritage of the 230 castles<\/strong> distributed throughout the province of Alicante. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Since 2015, this traveling exhibition has toured fourteen locations, allowing visitors to discover the history and diversity of 84 castles<\/strong> grouped into five significant routes: La Clau del Regne<\/em> in l’Alacant\u00ed, the castles of the inland border in the Vinalop\u00f3 Valley, the castles of the Mountain in L’Alcoi\u00e0-Comtat, the castles of Tudmir in the Vega Baja, and those of the Frontera del Miedo in the Marinas. The museographic project, developed by our studio, was recognized with the Emporia de Oro<\/strong> in 2015 as the best traveling exhibition in Spain, an award that celebrates our commitment to integrate design and heritage. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Santa Barbara Castle edition offered a unique tour of fortifications and shelters from the Early Medieval to the Modern Age, presenting the visitor with a complete historical experience. In addition, this itinerary included unique elements, such as the recent reconstruction of the Baluarte de la Mina and the future Interpretation Center of the Torres de la Huerta in the Sarri\u00f3 Tower, a project made possible thanks to European funding and an agreement with the CV MARQ Foundation. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

At Rocamora Dise\u00f1o y Arquitectura<\/strong>, we are proud to have contributed to this experience that will continue its itinerancy at the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez Center in Albatera, bringing with it the history and architectural legacy of Alicante’s castles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
